BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Fall weather is starting to hit the region this week.

The National Weather Service says a low pressure system is moving into western Washington Thursday, Sept. 24 into Friday, Sept. 25.

Bellingham is currently forecast to receive about an inch of rain through Friday evening, with wind gusts expected to reach 20 mph.

There’s also roughly a slight chance of thunderstorms Friday.

It’s expected to get drier throughout the weekend before rain and breezy winds return late Monday into Tuesday.
