WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Fall weather is continuing to come into full force around the region.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for the lowlands of western Whatcom County and San Juan County from 2 a.m. through 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Southerly winds could reach up to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Forecasters are warning residents to prepare for a few power outages due to tree limbs being blown down.

NWS says it will start to rain late Monday night, with most areas of Whatcom County expected to receive up to an inch through Tuesday night.

It’s expected to get drier later in the week as high temperatures remain in the low-to-mid 60’s.
