BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A burglary at a Bellingham restaurant is under investigation.

Lilia’s Mexican Cuisine said in a social media post that a person broke in through their patio door earlier Wednesday morning, Oct. 14.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect throwing an object to break the glass door and taking the restaurant’s cash register.

Lilia’s says that while the register didn’t contain any cash, some customers’ credit and debit cards may have still been inside.

Anyone who may have left their card behind at the restaurant is urged to call their bank and cancel the cards.

Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy tells My Bellingham Now the officers are working to identify the suspect.
