BELLINGAM, Wash. – A man faces several charges for firing shots in downtown Bellingham Friday night, January 6th.

No injuries were reported, but police say 25-year-old Anthony Casimir caused a panic when he fired shots while swearing and yelling at people.

Officers arrived near the intersection of Holly and Commercial Streets just after 8 p.m. and observed that Casimir was the only person calmly walking away from the scene.

They followed as he tried to get away and caught up with him on Magnolia Street, where one of the officers saw a handgun sticking out of his pocket.

He faces charges of reckless endangerment, discharging and illegally carrying a firearm.
