FERNDALE, Wash. – The Ferndale Arts Commission is giving young artists the chance to have their designs featured throughout their city’s downtown.

In a recent Facebook post, they ask for anyone high school age or younger to submit art with the theme: “What Does Ferndale Mean to You?”.

An in-person art event will be held Saturday, April 29th at the Pioneer Pavilion, and supplies will be provided.

For anyone not able to make the event, templates for the project can be picked up from the Ferndale library.

36 winning designs will be chosen to be displayed on public garbage cans throughout the city, with all other designs being displayed across local storefronts.

Completed pieces must be turned in to Ferndale City Hall by May 15th.
