The resolution details short-term approaches to combatting the fentanyl crisis. These approaches include advocating for declarations of emergency on grander scales, expanding law enforcement’s response to fentanyl-related crime, expanding community programs to provide stability to those at-risk of abusing fentanyl and increasing medical treatment options for fentanyl abuse.
The public meeting will begin at 1 p.m., with two public comment periods at 4 p.m. and at the end of the meeting. The Port will vote on the issue of sending a “Lease Termination Agreement” to the recycling company before going on to other items on the agenda during the meeting.
Idaho’s Republican governor has previously been outspoken against the notion of using public funds for gender-affirming care.
