The Whatcom County Council will hold a public hearing on March 19 before officially closing the road.
Both councils say in-person public comment will continue unchanged and comments can also be made by phone, email or regular mail.
They will talk about issues still in consideration after last week’s House of Origin cutoff and take any questions from the public.
