LYNDEN, Wash. – A Lynden-based animal rescue group is looking for community support after an operation brought in dozens of neglected animals.

Elizabeth Olson Gillette with the Bunanza Rabbit Rescue Ranch said that they were alerted to a meat-breeding operation in Skagit County earlier this month.

They found 33 young bunnies crammed together in a single pen, with little food and water available.

Bunanza’s rescue team was able to bring all of the bunnies back to their center in Lynden, where they are now recovering and being prepared for adoption.

The team is looking for community support to help cover vet bills, care costs, and other supplies needed to get the animals into their forever homes.
