BELLINGHAM, WA. – (KGMI.com) A Bellingham antique mall was broken into last week.

Penny Lane Antique Mall says their alarm system was triggered last Friday, Nov. 17, at around 3:45 a.m.

The mall’s co-owner Matt Berglund told KGMI that he was informed by police the business’s glass door was smashed in likely with a window breaker.

The burglar then smashed a glass display case and made off with about $4,000 worth of jewelry stored in the case.

Between the broken door and the display case, Penny Lane is looking at an additional couple thousand dollars to replace the broken items.

This is the third break-in within the last month at businesses in downtown Bellingham.

Both Comics Place and Avellino Coffeehouse had their windows smashed in a few weeks ago and merchandise was stolen from the comics shop.

Comics Place posted a video of the burglary on their Facebook page.
