BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Turns out Bellingham is actually a pretty nice place to live.

Livability.com has released their rankings of the Top 25 Best Places to Live in the West and Bellingham made the cut this year.

The rankings are based on a survey of more than 1,000 adults across the country determining what they value most in a prospective community, as well as a study conducted by Livability.com and Ipsos.

Affordability and local amenities top the list of most important factors.

Livability.com highlights Bellingham’s vibrant downtown area offering many breweries, eateries, art galleries and shopping options.

They also say Bellingham is a supportive business community with quick access to outdoor activities from the North Cascades to the San Juan Islands.

Other Washington cities on the list include Tacoma, Olympia, Vancouver and Spokane.
