BELLINGHAM, WA. – A Bellingham man has been arrested in connection with a recent stabbing.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies say that the victim drove to a residence on September 4th to pick up a relative.
The relative ran out of the house and into the victim’s car with the suspect following close behind.
Witnesses told investigators that the victim did not want the suspect in his vehicle and stepped outside to confront him.
The suspect responded by taking out a folded knife and stabbing the driver in the ribs.
The driver was hospitalized and the suspect fled the area.
Police arrested the suspect, 22-year-old Nathaniel Perry, on Monday night.
He remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $100,000 bail.
