BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Public Schools are unveiling their new center for Special Education services.

They are hosting an open house on Tuesday, September 12th, to celebrate the opening of a new temporary space for their Community Transitions program.

The program offers services to students with mild to severe disabilities as they transition to life after high school.

It includes courses that teach culinary skills, independent living, job-coaching and transition planning.

Tuesday’s open house runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the WECU building at 1600 Birchwood Avenue in Bellingham.
