BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham woman charged in connection with the death of her friend has been sentenced.

As part of a plea deal, Roseanne Paden will spend the next 15 years behind bars, followed by three years of probation.

In October of 2020, Paden called her friend, Clinton Gulick, for help with her car.

Instead, Paden lured Gulick to a remote part of Whatcom County, where he was shot several times by Zachary Ranahan.

Ranahan and Paden fled the area, leaving Gulick for dead.

Ranahan pled guilty in 2021 to first degree murder, and is spending 34 years in prison.

Court documents state that Paden will also be required to undergo substance abuse treatment.
