GLACIER, Wash. – Another portion of the Mount Baker Highway will be closed for part of the upcoming weekend.
The Mount Baker Hill Climb will shut down the eastbound side of the road between Glacier and Artist Point from 7 a.m. to noon on Sunday, September 17th.
Hundreds of cyclists in both competitive and recreational divisions will tackle over 4,400 ft of elevation during the 22-mile-long climb.
This year will be the first in which the entire event has been sold out.
Spectators wanting to watch the race are encouraged to carpool and arrive early to secure their desired viewing spot.
