BIRCH BAY, Wash. – A Birch Bay summer staple has announced its closure for the rest of the season.

In a Facebook post, Birch Bay Waterslides said that they had to close the park on Friday, August 18th, following an accident on one of their slides.

The accident forced the closure of all rides, and all guests were refunded.

Management made the decision to shut down for the rest of the season, in part, due to the incident.

They also cite smokey conditions and reduced staff as other reasons for closing early.
