BURLINGTON, Wash. – At least three people were injured after a bus full of children rolled over in Skagit County.

The Washington State Patrol said the bus was transporting the children and several adults on I-5 in Burlington on Wednesday afternoon, July 5th.

The driver failed to make the turn on the off-ramp to Chuckanut Drive, and the bus rolled onto its side.

Two people, including a 61-year-old Sedro-Woolley woman, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Skagit Valley Family YMCA later confirmed that the bus was carrying a group of their summer day campers.

Students were reunited with their parents at Burlington-Edison High School.

WSP said that the accident remains under investigation and charges could be brought against the bus driver.
