EVERSON, Wash. – A call about a car blocking a driveway led to a drug arrest in Everson on Saturday, April 8th.

Chief Rodger Funk from the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the property on East Pole Road around 9:30 p.m.

The driver left with the vehicle when deputies arrived but was pulled over a short time later.

During the traffic stop, the driver admitted he had methamphetamine in his car.

Deputies discovered his driver’s license was suspended.

A search of the vehicle also found 30-35 grams of heroin and fentanyl.

The driver, 47-year-old Theron Chin, was arrested and booked into the Whatcom County Jail on $100,000 bail.
