BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) The CDC is warning Washington residents of a salmonella outbreak linked to charcuterie meats.

They say our state is one of 14 where people have gotten sick after eating charcuterie meat from company Busseto Foods.

The product in question is the 18 oz. Charcuterie Sampler Prosciutto, Sweet Soppressata and Dry Coppa, also sold as a twin pack of two 9 oz packages.

The tainted products will have a “best by” date of April 27, 2024 and establishment numbers of 7543B and 47967 on the package.

As of Friday, the CDC reports 24 illnesses and five hospitalizations from the outbreak.

Anyone with these products is asked to dispose of them and wash any surfaces or containers they may have touched with hot soapy water.
