FERNDALE, WA. – (KGMI.com) The City of Ferndale has announced an opening date for the Thornton Overpass.
The city will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, December 2nd.
The event will provide an opportunity for residents to talk to members of the project team and to watch a motorcade of city vehicles cross the overpass.
It all kicks off at noon and the new route will officially open to public traffic at 3 p.m.
The Thornton Overpass will pass over the BNSF railroad tracks and connect Vista Drive and all of north Ferndale to I-5 and Portal Way.
