NORTH CASCADES, Wash. – Some of us may be getting sick of the cooler weather we have seen over the past few weeks.
But for skiers and snowboarders, conditions could not be better and that is extending the winter sports season statewide.
KOMO reports that most ski resorts have extended their seasons towards the end of April.
The Mount Baker Ski Area is no exception, with their season formally coming to a close on April 23rd.
Other resorts, including Crystal Mountain and White Pass, will keep their lifts running until April 30th.
Wintry storm systems have been moving more to the south over the past few months, which has been especially beneficial for south Cascades peaks.
