BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The order in which candidates’ names will appear on the August 1st primary ballot will be determined today, Friday, May 19th.

Candidates for local offices have been filing with the Whatcom County Auditor’s office this week and have until 4:30 p.m. to make their candidacy official.

A lot draw will then be done at 4:45 p.m. to determine the order of the ballot.

The public is invited to watch the draw live at the auditor’s office or it can be viewed online via Zoom.
