CUSTER, WA. – (KGMI.com) Three vehicles caught fire across north Whatcom County on Wednesday, January 3rd.
The first call came in at about 6:50 a.m. to the rest stop off I-5 in Custer.
Fire District No. 7 in Ferndale arrived to find a small sedan fully engulfed in flames.
Two minutes after the first call came in, another car fire was reported at the Silver Reef Casino.
Later, an RV caught fire on 10-mile road at a private residence.
The owner was moving items around the RV when responding Officer John Ahrenholz says an electrical problem started the fire.
All three vehicles were extinguished without issue and the fires did not impact traffic.
No one suffered injuries as a result of any of these fires.
