BELLINGHAM, Wash. – We’re learning more about a rollover crash on I-5 that backed up northbound traffic for miles in Bellingham Thursday morning, April 13th.

WSP reports that the driver, a 70-year-old B.C. man, suffered a medical emergency and rolled his semi over near the Samish Way exit around 4:30 a.m.

Crews worked for over six hours to clear the accident.

All northbound lanes were blocked while tow trucks used cranes to clear the crash, and traffic was diverted onto South Samish Way and Old Fairhaven Parkway until the lanes were reopened at around 11 a.m.
