EVERSON, WA. – (KGMI.com) A pedestrian has been hospitalized after being struck by a car in Everson.

Police say the 82-year-old man was hit just before 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, December 26th, near the 200 block of West Main Street.

He was initially taken to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham but was later transported to Harborview in Seattle.

The driver, a 57-year-old Everson man, was issued several citations.

Police do not believe the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
