FERNDALE, Wash. – The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office wants to let the public know that enrollment for the Community Emergency Response Team basic training is now open.

The training course consists of eight three-hour classes that teach ordinary citizens to safely act as first responders during emergency situations.

The courses begin April 5th and continue weekly through May 24th at the Ferndale Police Department with a total course fee of $50.
