FERNDALE, Wash. – A man is in jail after Ferndale Police say he violated a no-contact order and went to extreme measures to elude them.

Court records state that a caller to 911 on Sunday, April 2nd, reported that 33-year-old Shane Marcona was in a woman’s Ferndale apartment in violation of a no-contact order.

Officers responded and the woman allowed them in to search the apartment, except for the cabinet under the bathroom sink where they believed he was hiding.

She asked the officers to leave, but they obtained a search warrant and returned only to hear loud banging in an upstairs bedroom.

The officers found a large hole in a closet wall leading to an adjacent apartment where they found Marcona hiding in a bathtub.

He is being held on $100,000 bail.
