FERNDALE, Wash. – A child’s death last week is being investigated by Ferndale Police and the Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s office.

City spokesperson Riley Sweeney said that the five-year-old girl died in Ferndale last Wednesday, March 8th.

The Medical Examiner’s office has not yet determined a cause of death.

The City is asking community members to respect the family’s privacy during the investigation.
