TACOMA, Wash. – Former Seattle Supersonics standout Shawn Kemp has been arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting in Tacoma.
Police were called to the Tacoma Mall around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8th, after shots were fired in the parking lot.
FOX 13 reports that Kemp was tracking down items that had been stolen from him when he was shot at by another person in a car.
Kemp allegedly fired back at the driver in self defense.
He was booked into the Pierce County Jail without bail.
No information has been released about the driver of the other vehicle, or if they were also arrested.
Kemp is a six-time NBA All-Star who played with the Seattle Supersonics from 1989 to 1997.
