OLYMPIA, Wash. – Another COVID-19 mandate in Washington is no longer in effect.
On Wednesday, May 10th, Governor Inslee announced that state employees are no longer required to get the COVID vaccine if they want to keep their jobs.
On Thursday, May 11th, a similar directive will end nationwide for federal employees and contractors.
However, Inslee is still offering incentives for workers who stay up to date with their vaccinations.
Starting in late July, state employees who present proof of current COVID-19 vaccinations will receive a $1,000 incentive payment.
