BELLINGHAM, WA – The City of Bellingham is holding an event this week to celebrate the passage of the newest Greenways Levy.

Community members are encouraged to attend the free event at Wander Brewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1.

Members of the City Council, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Greenways Advisory Committee will be there to help celebrate.

The Greenways 5 Levy that passed this month’s election will increase property taxes by $0.41 per $1,000 assessed value to continue funding recreation projects through 2033.
