LUMMI ISLAND, Wash. – The Willows Inn is officially on the market.
The former world-renowned restaurant and resort on Lummi Island closed in November.
A month later, owners Tim and Marcia McEvoy of Bellingham donated the property to Lighthouse Mission Ministries.
Amia Froese with Saratoga Commercial Real Estate says buyers are already interested.
“We have definitely been approached by some who have interest in taking it as a turnkey situation and operating it as a restaurant and Inn,” said Froese. “Others have discussed the potential for a retreat or training center.”
Others have considered it as a private vacation property.
Its assessed value is just over $2 million, and the sale will help fund Lighthouse Mission’s new $24 million shelter and headquarters.
Construction on the new facility is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
Interested bidders for the former Willows Inn property can contact Saratoga Real Estate in Bellingham to schedule a tour.
