OLYMPIA, Wash. – Jobs in Washington state saw steady growth for the fourth month in a row.

The state Employment Security Department said that about 6,100 new jobs were created in April.

Most new positions were within the construction, education, and health service industries.

Washington’s unemployment rate took a dip once again to 4.3%, down from March’s 4.5%.

This time last year, the state unemployment rate stood at 4.1%.
