BELLINGHAM, WA – An Idaho judge refused to dismiss a grand jury indictment against the man accused of fatally stabbing four University of Idaho students.
Bryan Kohberger’s attorneys filed a motion earlier this year asking the judge to dismiss the grand jury’s indictment.
They argued that the panel should have used a “reasonable doubt” legal standard rather than the more lenient “probable cause” they relied on in bringing the indictment.
The judge overseeing the case dismissed that argument Thursday as well as lawyers’ claims of jury bias, misconduct by prosecutors and objections to evidence in the case.
Kohberger is charged in connection with the murders of three young Idaho women and a young man from Skagit County last November.
