GLACIER, Wash. – A landslide closed a portion of the Mount Baker Highway on Tuesday, April 18th.
WSDOT said that a mass of trees, snow, and other debris completely blocked the roadway at Pillar Rocks just before 2 p.m.
Crews were able to clear the slide within an hour.
The Mount Baker Ski Area had a scheduled closure at the time the slide hit.
They posted on their website that they will be back open on Friday, April 21st.
