LUMMI NATION, Wash. – The Lummi Tribal Health Center has provided an update after they issued an alert warning the community of a spike in overdose deaths.

Tribal health leaders say four people died from fentanyl overdoses last week, according to King5.

They believe the spike may be due to a change in supply of drugs around the Lummi community.

They say it could be a more potent version of fentanyl or a mixture similar to things like tranq dope.

Narcan and test strips are both available for free at the Lummi Care and Tribal Health Center offices.
