BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A man accused of selling large quantities of fentanyl in Whatcom County has been arrested.

Investigators began looking into the suspect last summer after fentanyl-laced pills were found in his car following a police pursuit.

Undercover agents later made two drug purchases from the suspect, and lab results later confirmed the drugs were laced with fentanyl.

Court documents also stated that the suspect, who is a registered sex offender, had not updated his most recent address.

A search warrant for the suspect’s actual current residence turned up fentanyl powder, two guns, and ammunition.

Police arrested the suspect, 31-year-old Jeffrey Eagleman, on February 6th.

Eagleman remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $250,000 bail.
