MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – The mother of the young man from Skagit County who was among four University of Idaho students who were murdered last fall has released a children’s book about her son’s life.

Stacy Chapin says she was inspired to write “The Boy Who Wore Blue” after learning that another author was writing a book about the murders.

Fox 13 News reports that she wants to stay focused on the positive as their family grieves.

Her son Ethan Chapin was killed in November along with three young women from Idaho.

Former Washington State doctoral student Bryan Kohberger is accused of murdering them in a rental house the women shared.

Stacy Chapin says she and her family do not plan attending Kohberger’s trial.

Her book is available on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
