BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A new festival in Bellingham will leave lasting marks on the city.

The First Annual Noisy Waters Mural Fest will gather acclaimed muralists from August 18th to the 20th for a weekend of live painting, music, parties and more.

Applications will be accepted through May 20th and eight artists will be chosen to create eight foot by eight foot versions of their murals live during the festival.

The public will vote and the top picks will receive cash contracts to create large murals in downtown Bellingham.

This year’s theme is “Make It Beautiful.”
