NEWHALEM, Wash. – Several areas have opened back up as the Sourdough Fire continues to see minimal growth near Diablo.
Park officials announced Monday, September 11th, the reopening of Diablo Lake, Thunder Point and Hidden Cove boat-in camps, Happy Panther Trail and the Ross Lake Dam Trail.
Ross Lake is now open for day use only.
The Sourdough Fire has been slowing over the past two weeks due to cooler temperatures and slight moisture across the area.
It is still standing at about 6,300 acres and is 25% contained.
