BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Cold weather shelters will be open tonight in Bellingham and Ferndale as temperatures dip into the low 20’s and teens.

Bellingham’s Civic Field Athletic Complex shelter will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 23rd.

Free transportation will be available at 5:30 p.m. from the bus stop at Commercial St. and Central Ave in downtown Bellingham.

The Lighthouse Mission’s overflow shelter (1013 West Holly St.) will also be available to accommodate 40 people in addition to the 200 beds available at Base Camp on Cornwall.

In Ferndale, the cold weather shelter at the United Church of Ferndale (2034 Washington St.) will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. tonight.
