MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Mount Vernon Police continue their investigation into a late-night shooting that injured two teenagers.

Police said in a press release that two groups had gotten into an argument in a Haggen parking lot on Friday night.

One of the groups shot at the other group’s car several times before leaving the area.

Two girls, ages 16 and 17, were shot and taken to Skagit Valley Hospital.

The 16-year-old was last listed in stable condition, while the 17-year-old was treated and released a short time later.
