MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Police are investigating a man for vehicular homicide after a crash in Mount Vernon early Sunday morning, May 21st.
Police responded after two 19-year-old women driving in a Hyundai eastbound on East Fir Street were t-boned by a driver in a Ford Mustang.
The passenger in the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the driver of the Mustang, a 23-year-old Mount Vernon man, ran a stop sign while driving north on North 30th Street.
They say criminal charges are anticipated and believe speed and alcohol were involved.
