SEATTLE, Wash. – Who would you vote for if Governor Inslee decides against running for a fourth term in 2024?
The Northwest Progressive Institute asked that question in a poll and offered a hypothetical field of four candidates.
Republican Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier got the most support at 35%, while Democratic Attorney General Bob Ferguson came in second at 21%.
State Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz was favored by 7% and King County’s Democratic Executive, Dow Constantine, received another 7%.
And 30% of respondents said they were not sure who they would support.
A Republican was last elected governor of Washington state in 1980.
