BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Port of Bellingham is asking for public comment on its Climate Action Strategy.

The report examines the vulnerability of port property and assets to impacts from a changing climate and potential sea level rise.

It also lists ways to protect the county’s assets, local economy and the environment.

The Port of Bellingham says it has already taken action on a number of the mitigation efforts and is taking sea level rise and coastal storm modeling into consideration in development plans.
