BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) Researchers at Western Washington University are looking to collect stories from residents along our northern border about life during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Western’s Border Policy Research Institute was created to inform our local policy-makers on matters concerning the border with Canada.

They have released a new survey to better understand how the pandemic border closure impacted the life of those in the surrounding communities.

Anecdotes gathered through the survey will be published anonymously on a map on the institute’s website with the hope that the information could be used to influence future border policies.

Anyone interested can visit BPRI.wwu.edu to take the survey.
