SEATTLE, Wash. – A Skagit County man will spend the next three years in prison for possession of dangerous drugs and guns on two separate occasions.

39-year-old Steven Lopez Ruiz was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Seattle on Wednesday, April 5th, after being held in custody since his arrest on March 14th, 2022.

He was caught twice in two weeks with over 1,000 fentanyl laced pills, methamphetamine, heroin and two firearms.

Along with Ruiz was Santos Gutierrez-Fosella, who received 10 years in prison, and Robert Johnny, who got six years for their roles in the case.
