BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) We’re one step closer to getting those Smokey Bear license plates here in the Evergreen State.
The state DNR says a bill to authorize the move has been pre-filed.
SB 5910 and its companion bill, HB 2108, would create a license plate that supports the DNR’s efforts to prevent human-caused wildfires and support firefighters.
Smokey Bear has been the face of wildfire prevention since 1944.
You can learn more about the bill and follow its progress on the Washington DNR’s website.
