BELLINGHAM, WA – Starting Monday, East Pole Road will be closed for four days for emergency road repairs.

The State Route will close starting at 8 a.m. on Oct. 30, and the construction is weather permitting and may be rescheduled.

Both directions of the highway just west of Noon Road are scheduled for the closure.

The road failed after the installation of a culvert last summer below the road.

The signed detour route will follow the same path along SR 9, 546 and 539 that it used during the fish passage project.
