OLYMPIA, Wash. – A Washington state lawmaker is not ready to take Taylor Swift’s advice and shake off the frustration felt by many fans of the superstar who were left empty handed when they tried to buy tickets to her Eras Tour.

KOMO reports a Federal Way lawmaker has introduced the TSWIFT Consumer Protection Act in response to the Ticketmaster meltdown.

The bill would make it a crime to use software to get around a ticket seller’s security measures.

It would also require ticket resellers to be licensed by the state.

Swift is playing two shows in Seattle on the tour that broke Ticketmaster’s record for most tickets sold by an artist in a single day.

It also overwhelmed the company’s website and left many fans unable to buy tickets
