The Seattle Kraken continue their road trip tonight as they take on the Los Angeles Kings.

The Kings are tied for the third best record in the Western Conference.

They won 3-2 in shootouts in their earlier matchup against Seattle last Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Kraken will try to break their streak of five straight road losses.

Washington Huskies football coach Kalen DeBoer was just named the best in the country.

DeBoer won the AP Coach of the Year award yesterday after leading the Huskies to a 13-0 season, the Pac-12 championship and a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

He owns a 23-2 record after two seasons with Washington after getting called to take over following a 4-8 season for the school in 2021.

DeBoer becomes the first Washington coach to be named the AP Coach of the Year and just the third Pac-12 coach to win the award in the last 25 years.

 

Washington’s women’s basketball team has cracked the Top 25 for the first time in six years.

They’re 23rd in the AP’s latest rankings released this week.

The 11-0 Huskies are coming off a statement win over rival Washington State, who were previously ranked 21st in the country.

Their first game as a ranked team will be at No. 19 Louisville today at 4 pm.

The defending 2A state champ Lynden boys crushed Nooksack Valley 67-28 last night on KPUG.

The defending 1A state champ Nooksack girls followed with a 67-52 win over Lynden in a battle of undefeated teams.

The Ferndale boys lost a close one to Sedro-Woolley 69-65.

The Ferndale girls avenged them with a 63-46 win over Sedro-Woolley.

The Squalicum girls wrapped up the slate with a 52-21 win over La Conner.
